Project Overview:
We are looking for a Field Application/Support Engineer to join our subsidiary Rightware to support Kanzi Services team. In this role, you will provide technical support and serve as the primary technical contact for our customers’ development teams. You will play a key role in helping our customers optimize their use of Kanzi products, ensuring they can build world-class automotive user interfaces.
This position primarily supports customers in Europe and the U.S., with occasional support for other regions. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad technical skill set by troubleshooting a wide range of challenges in UI development, 3D graphics, and embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Kanzi users within customer organizations.
- Train customers on best practices for Kanzi product development to maximize efficiency and performance.
- Analyze technical requirements and provide coding guidance and examples to help customers implement their solutions effectively.
- Investigate customer-reported incidents and identify solutions or workarounds to resolve technical issues.
- Confirm and escalate bugs or feature requests to Rightware's development teams in Helsinki for further resolution.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and contribute to improving customer experience with Kanzi products.
- Travel to customer sites when required for on-site support, training, or consulting.
Qualifications:
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong debugging, software analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 and newer).
- Experience with Android application development.
Nice to have skills:
- Familiarity with 3D graphics, game engines, or real-time rendering.
- Experience with automotive systems development (Embedded Linux, QNX, INTEGRITY, Android Automotive).
- Previous experience in consulting, customer-facing technical roles, or training.
- Experience working in international and cross-functional teams.
- Skills in 2D/3D graphics design and UI frameworks.
