About the role


Location: Frankfurt, Germany

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day desktop support, maintaining documentation and collaborating with internal IT teams to ensure a reliable and secure end-user computing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on desktop support experience who enjoys problem-solving and working closely with users.

Responsibilities:

Provide end-user support and resolve common desktop-related issues encountered during daily operations

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues

Assist in writing, updating and maintaining desktop operation and maintenance documentation

Perform basic desktop performance monitoring, optimization and preventive maintenance

Collaborate with other IT teams on tasks related to desktop equipment, deployments and upgrades

Qualifications:


Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

1-3 years of experience in desktop equipment operation and maintenance

Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems

Desktop-related certifications are a plus

Required skills:

Solid understanding of desktop equipment operation, maintenance and management

Proficiency in basic desktop performance monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting

Good awareness of desktop security practices and the ability to support security policy enforcement

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across IT teams

Good documentation skills, including the ability to create and maintain technical and operational documents
