As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability and performance of our application systems in a dynamic enterprise environment.
This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, optimizing performance and working closely with development and cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in maintaining high service quality while continuously improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of our application systems. You will:
Ensure the stable daily operation and maintenance of application systems
Monitor, analyze and optimize application performance
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and performance issues
Support application deployment, upgrades and smooth transitions
Maintain operational documentation, system change logs and O&M manuals
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
Conduct system health checks, identify risks and propose improvements
Collaborate closely with development teams to support development and testing environments
What we're looking for:
Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in application operations, system administration or related roles
Experience in large enterprises or multinational environments is a strong plus
Strong knowledge of application monitoring and O&M tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
Ability to troubleshoot system failures and optimize performance
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Shell)
Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices in IT operations
RHCE, MCSE, AWS, Azure or other relevant technical certifications are a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside development and cross-functional technical teams
Languages:
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Additional language skills such as Chinese, Spanish, Malay, German or Arabic are a plus
